About

Scope

To develop and maintain standards and guidelines for anthropometry and biomechanics that are based on ergonomics, one domain of the natural sciences, stipulating terminology, methodology and the data of human factors for the purpose of realizing human safety, ease, health and wellbeing, as well as increasing work efficiency.

Anthropometry and biomechanics in this work includes measurement methods for the human body, evaluation methods for working postures, human physical strength limitations, and the ergonomic procedures needed to apply them.
